Welcome to the Widehorizons Outdoor Education Trust

Widehorizons Outdoor Education Trust is a charity that provides high quality outdoor education to schools and the wider learning communities of further education, community education and business. We provide outdoor courses that support the curriculum and help individuals and teams develop. We also provide training for outdoor leaders aspiring to widen their horizons and those of others.

A selection of our wide ranging environmental experiences:

• Rock Climbing, Gorge walk, Ropes Course, Mountaineering, Mine Exploration and Orienteering at the Ty'n y Berth Mountain Centre in the Snowdonia National Park, Wales;
• Contrasting Localities, Low Ropes & Team Challenge, Earth Education, River Landforms, Sandy & Rocky Shore habitats, Beach Geology, Orienteering, History & Drama at Corfe Castle. Fluvial, coastal, urban and rural environments, ecosystems, soils, tourism, hazards, microclimates, geology and ecology for GCSE and A/AS Level. Townsend Residential Study Centre, Swanage Dorset;
• Outstanding Natural Beauty, Historic Village and Environmental Education at Margaret Macmillan House, Wrotham, Kent;
• Orienteering, Pond Dipping, Farm, Garden Project and lots of other exciting activities at ECS, Greenwich, London;
• Bear Hunt, Church Study, Sensory Discovery, Environmental Change, Habitats, Minibeast Hunt , Roman Villa and Strawberry Picking at Horton Kirby, Dartford, Kent.
